BATH
World-famous Bath fully deserves its designation
as a World Heritage City. It boasts exceptional architecture, from the
Roman Baths & Pump Rooms to the Abbey, the Royal Crescent, Pultney
Bridge and many other fine Georgian buildings. There are, of course, also
many famous museums, art galleries and award-winning gardens. It is
situated on the River Avon, and Kennet & Avon Canal, and offers lovely
riverside walks and boat trips . Bath has a superb choice of excellent
restaurants, theatres, and shops making it a wonderful city to visit, and
an essential stop on everyone’s travel itinerary. The fashionable Spa
City is as remarkable as ever, and its many festivals include the famous
Bath International Music Festival.
BRADFORD ON AVON
Charming Bradford on Avon is an attractive market
town with the River Avon and Kennet & Avon Canal flowing through its
centre. Visitors enjoy the Saxon church, Tithe Barn and Town Bridge, with
its famous “lock-up“. They can while away the time watching canal
boats negotiating the lock, or visit the many gift and antique shops, and
the pedestrian “Shambles”.
LACOCK
Lacock is a National Trust village, famous for
its Abbey and the Fox Talbot Museum of photography.
